The Mobile Memory Mouse 8000 is aimed at laptop owners who don't want to waste their limited USB ports by plugging in memory sticks.
Instead, the Microsoft device incorporates the 1GB of flash memory into the mouse's USB transceiver, allowing users to save documents without plugging in any extra devices.
The transceiver also includes an innovative magnetic charging system. A cord magnetically

"With the continued rise in notebook sales, there is a huge demand for smart peripherals that help mobile users get their work done more efficiently, and the Mobile Memory Mouse 8000 combines three key tools into one stylish device," says Matt Barlow, worldwide director of marketing and partner development at Microsoft Hardware.
The Memory Mouse also has a built-in Bluetooth receiver, allowing users to dispense with the transceiver entirely if they wish. Microsoft claims the AAA rechargeable battery offers more than three weeks of power on a full charge.
The Memory Mouse also includes a special button for Vista users, that allows them to scroll through their open applications using the Flip 3D feature.
The mouse will be available from October at an estimated price of around $100 (about £50).
