Shuttle launches smallest HD-capable mini PC yet
Posted on 26 Feb 2010 at 16:21
Shuttle has announced a new ultra-compact PC platform which is HD-compatible. The Barebone XS35 is a mini PC which, thanks to its shape and the standard VESA mounting points, can be easily fitted behind flat panel displays.
Intel's Atom D510 dual-core processor (1.66GHz) and the NM10 Express Chipset make for an energy-saving combination while a Nvidia's Ion 2 GT218 graphics card is powerful enough for HD video playback.
You also get five USB2 ports, VGA and Ethernet plus a multi-format card reader, a 2.5in hard disk and a slimline optical drive. Being passively cooled, the XS35 is practically noiseless.
It will be available to buy in April, but no price or final specifications have been set.
