Apple patches iWork
Posted on 29 Sep 2009 at 11:19
Apple has released an iWork update that addresses around 30 issues with the software suite.
The update addresses general compatibility issues and improves movie and image handling for all three iWork applications—Keynote, Numbers and Pages and provides better online help. It also fixes problems specific to each of the apps and makes improvements to the iWork.com beta.
Among the specific issues addressed are exporting CSV and Excel files from Numbers, chart editing in Keynote and Pages, and use of EndNote with Pages.
For iWork.com users, Apple has improved security with support for 128-bit SSL encryption and document password protection and added Comment notification features to improve document reviewing. In addition, email invitations are now sent via iWork.com instead of using the Mac’s Mail application.
iWork 9.0.3 is available via Software Update; for a list of all changes see About iWork '09 Update 3.
