Acronis releases backup and recovery software for netbooks
Posted on 30 Sep 2009 at 12:30
Acronis has launched the first backup and recovery software optimised for netbooks.
True Image Home 2010 Netbook Edition is tailored for the screen size and hardware of a netbook, and is as easy to use as the full desktop edition. It allows you to restore your files or complete operating system in the event of a disaster, and also offers the option for online backup.
Acronis says users can back up their entire disk locally to any attached device. One-Click Protection and a scheduler allow users to create and automate regular backups. Additionally, users can store their critical data online using the optional Acronis online service.
True Image Home Netbook Edition supports Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, XP Home and XP Professional and requires a minimum screen resolution of 1,024x600. The new software supports netbooks that use Intel's Atom 230, 330, N270, N280, Z500, Z510, Z520, Z530, and Z540 chips or the VIA C7-M chip.
The software costs £24 and can be downloaded from Acronis' website. We'll bring you a full review shortly.
