Yahoo! Mail review
This is the only real contender to Gmail's crown. In raw storage terms, Yahoo's a strong opponent, having in the last month upgraded its free accounts from 250MB to a full 1GB, which is plenty for years of regular email usage.
Better than that, however, is the wonderfully rich set of features you get. It's the only service on test that will allow you both to pick up mail from external accounts and to retrieve your Yahoo mail from a desktop client. Like Gmail, you can navigate using keyboard shortcuts. You can import addresses from Address Book using third-party freeware application. There's an online calendar and notepad and a huge list of configurable options; and you can set a holiday response, filter mail into folders and more.
Perhaps best of all, the interface is light on ads. A single, small banner at the top of the page and a few links at the left are all that distract you from your email.
