Panasonic 3D video camera coming this October
Posted on 3 Sep 2010 at 13:16
We've already had a hands-on first look with the Panasonic HDC-SDT750, the world's first consumer 3D camcorder, but the Japanese giant has finally announced UK pricing for it. It will cost £1,500 inc VAT and Panasonic will start rolling the product out across Europe this October.
This is undoubtedly expensive, especially as you'll need a 3D TV, and possibly a 3D Blu-ray player and Blu-ray PC burner, to get the most out of your 3D content.
According to Hirotoshi Uehara, the director of Panasonic's TV Business Unit, the HDC-SDT750 is part of the company's '3D everywhere' strategy. Panasonic not only wants to help users create their own 3D content, but to also help them enjoy professionally-produced 3D content by working with TV broadcasters, movie studios and game developers to deliver their content in 3D.
The company has already demonstrated the ability to stream 3D movies over the internet and launched new 3D plasma TVs.
