Samsung HMX-U10 review

Verdict:

A good design with some fun features, but its sensor generates lots of noise in lowlight conditions and 1080p video is bloated.

Samsung's HMX-U10 is a little cheaper than Flip's UltraHD, but this difference is negated by the big memory cards you'll need to buy as well. We like the design and the additional fun shooting options on the HMX-U10, and if you plan to watch your footage on a large 1080p TV it's a better choice. However, for uploading video the UltraHD has crisper 720p video, better lowlight performance, an HDMI output and slicker software.
