AMD Duron 1.3GHz review
Although it's been kicking around for some time now, the 1.3GHz Duron is still a cracking good deal.
It's main competitor at the budget end of the market is Intel's new socket 478 Celeron. Unfortunately for Intel, however, the Celeron is a good few points slower than the Duron, and it's about forty quid more expensive. That makes the choice between the two pretty straightforward, especially as fitting a Duron lets you upgrade to an rip-roaring Athlon XP at a later date.
