Computer Shopper Virtual Disc July 2011

By: Graham Smith

The Computer Shopper cover disc is now provided as a downloadable disc image. Use a blank CD and software that can write disc images or mount the disc image using virtual disc drive software. Full instructions are provided in this month’s issue. CD1 content Full Products: Serif PhotoPlus 10.1

Download Instructions:

1. Click the Download button to download your Computer Shopper CD image and you’ll be prompted for a location to save the file.

2. You'll need to enter a password before you can extract the ISO file – the password is printed in this month's cover disc guide. The unzipped file has an .iso extension and must be burned to CD or mounted before you can use it.

3. To burn the ISO file to CD, use the ‘burn’ disc image (or similar) option in your CD-burning application. If your burning application does not support the ISO format, you can use the free program ISO Recorder.

Browse for the ISO file and have a blank CD to hand. Once the disc is written and recognised by Windows, run the disc browser. If it doesn't automatically start, run the Shopper.exe file from the root of the disc.

4. If you do not have a CD at hand to burn the disc image you can also mount the ISO file as a 'virtual' CD using the free program Slysoft Virtual CloneDrive.

If you experience any problems installing software from the disc please email us at coverdiscs@computershopper.co.uk.
