The D90 is roughly on a par with Canon's 40D for image quality; it's around the same price but slower in continuous shooting. However, its video mode, HDMI output, high-resolution screen, chromatic aberration removal and superb layout of controls make it a more attractive prospect overall. If you're ready to move up from an entry-level SLR, this is the camera to get.
