Our Rating
Philips' 10FF2M4 has an attractive design, and comes with four coloured frames.
The menu system looks great and is easy to navigate, though it's not as quick to react as others here. A sensor detects the frame's orientation, and rotates photos automatically. Slideshow intervals can be set from five seconds to 24 hours.
The 1.51:1 aspect ratio is great for DSLR and compact camera photos. The large display gives images the same soft appearance as Sony's DPF-V900. Contrast is good and there's plenty of detail and vibrant colours. However, up close we saw some banding in areas of subtle colour transitions.
A built-in battery lets you unplug the frame, and there's 128MB of built-in memory for storing favourite photos. The timer is the best here, letting you set up to three on/off times a day, with separate settings for weekends.
Sony's frame has slightly better image quality, but this is a good buy if you need a built-in battery.
