Kingston MobileLite G2 review
Verdict:
An interesting design that can store and protect your cards, but it doesn't support many formats

Our Rating
The MobileLite G2 is essentially a tiny box with a USB connector at one end and a card reader at the other. Slide-out covers at either end can be extended to cover the USB connector and any cards sticking out of the card reader slots, so you can leave your cards fitted; however, these aren't particularly robust, and might not protect your card if the unit's left at the bottom of a bag, for example.
Only SD, microSD and modern Memory Stick cards are supported – as well as the HC, but not XC, versions of the SD cards. Read and write speeds using an SDHC card were impressive at 18.3MB/s and 9.8MB/s respectively. However Trust's Mini Card Reader supports more formats and costs £1 less.
