Breffo Spiderpodium Tablet review
No-one who has watched Alien or Prometheus should go anywhere near a Breffo Spiderpodium Tablet. It's a rubbery, vaguely sticky thing with legs that looks like something from the darkest recesses of Ridley Scott's mind.
Once you've got over your initial unease, you'll find a versatile tablet stand. The Spiderpodium has eight stiff but malleable legs, each of which has four joints. This makes it easy to wrap four of them around the edges of your tablet, while using the other four to keep the tablet stable on whatever surface you choose to sit it on.
The legs' sticky texture means the tablet doesn’t slide around, and the two curled under at the bottom protect the bottom edge of the tablet from scratching on a rough surface. Apart from the sheer unpleasantness of the thing, the only downside to the Spiderpodium is that it's tricky to fit if your tablet is wearing a case.
