Verdict:
The Moshi Moshi 02 is comfortable to use but its limited features and dependence on adaptors make it an expensive option if you're after a USB VoIP phone.

Our Rating
Native Union's Moshi Moshi 02 handset is designed to provide a landline phone feel when using VoIP or a mobile phone to place calls. Its build quality and design are excellent, although we prefer the rubberised black version to our gloss review white model, which tends to pick up dirt. The handset is perfectly smooth, with just a single button to connect your call. Audio quality is excellent and it's very comfortable to use.
It only has a three-ring 3.5mm connection port, so it only works out of the box with a handful of devices, such as 3G and 3GS iPhones. To use it with VoIP chat clients on your PC, you'll have to buy a separate USB adaptor, while most mobile phone users will also have to invest in an adaptor.
Unfortunately, at £45 for the handset, plus another £15 for the USB adaptor, you'll be paying £60 for a USB VoIP handset. It's nicely designed, but lacks the wealth of extra features available from most similarly priced USB handsets.
Its support for mobile phones makes it more versatile, but its dependence on adaptors is annoying. The Moshi Moshi 02 is an interesting idea, and one that may appeal to iPhone owners, but it's hard to imagine who else would use it.
