Apple has announced the official UK pricing for its iPad tablet, but you're not going to like them, as they start at a whopping £429.
For the WiFi only models the prices are £429 for 16GB, £499 for 32GB and £599 for 64GB. The WFi and 3G models are even more expensive at £529 for 16GB, £599 for 32GB and £699 for 32GB.
This is considerably more expensive than the US versions. For the WiFi models, the 16GB model costs $499 (around £325), the 32GB model $599 (around £389) and the 64GB model $699 (around £454), both stores have massive mark-ups.
The iPad will be available to pre-order from 10th May, with orders shipping on 28th May. Apple will only open its UK app store and book store on 28th May.
