The Speedlink Repute gaming mouse mat is a simple fabric pad with a rubber underside. It's thin and light, but the rubber helps to anchor it firmly in place on your desk.

The surface is incredibly smooth, and in our tests we found it was also very precise, tracking mouse movements in Windows and in games with no hitches. A shallow cut-out on the bottom edge leaves room for your wrist to rest on the desk rather than on the edge of the mat.

Some gaming mouse mats are much larger, but depending on the games you play and your playing style, you may not need so much room. The Repute is simple but effective, and at only £13 we think it's a worthy upgrade to the free mouse mat that comes with a new PC, and it wins our Best Buy award.
