Hippus HandShoe Mouse review

Verdict:

It's large and heavy, but comfortable to use and may provide relief for those suffering from RSI and mouse-related neck pain

Our Rating 3 stars out of 5

The HandShoe is designed to reduce stress on hand and arm muscles associated with mouse use. According to research carried out at the Erasmus University and Maastricht University Medical Centers in the Netherlands, using a normal mouse forces you to hover your fingers over the buttons, and puts stress on various tendons and muscles, ultimately affecting muscles in the arm and neck.

The name "HandShoe" comes from the Dutch word for "glove", and the HandShoe is indeed comfortable to use. It takes a while to get used to not having a part of your hand "balancing" on the desk surface, but becomes more comfortable over time.

It's also quite bulky, but it glides easily over a flat surface. It's not as extensible as the OrthoMouse, which we think's the better device for RSI sufferers.

Ergonomic Mouse

This mouse requires whole arm movements which reduce accuracy. Have a look at the new DXT Ergonomic Mouse at www.cityergonomics.com

Ergonomic HandShoe Mouse is very accurate

The HandShoe mouse is the only mouse that fully supports your hand. when youn use this mouse you need to support your arm on the desk or on your armrest and all you need is minute movements to operate this truly ergonomic mouse.
