The floppy's ribbon cable is attached much like the IDE cable. If it has a middle connector, ignore it. Then attach the plug at one end to the drive and the one at the other to the motherboard. Again, there are notches and a stripe that should be aligned with pin 1 on the motherboard and the drive.
