GTA IV set for PC launch

Grand Theft Auto IV has been confirmed for release on the PC. Rockstar Games has announced that the popular title will be made available to PC users in Europe on 21st November 2008.
"We are very excited to be releasing the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV," said Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games.
"The whole team is dedicated to bringing an amazing gaming experience to the PC. The game looks and plays beautifully on PC and we can't wait for people to play it."
The game is set in Liberty City; a city thought to be based on New York, and follows Niko Belic, an Eastern European war veteran.
The title was released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 games consoles earlier this year, selling a reported 609,000 copies on its first day in the UK alone. The game sold approximately six million copies worldwide in its first week - grossing £250 million.
However, the game has attracted its fair share of controversy for its adult nature. It has been edited for Australia and New Zealand in order for it to meet Australian classification system requirements.
The game has also recently been pulled from shelves in Thailand after a teenager confessed to robbing and murdering a taxi driver while trying to recreate a scene from the game.
