Is Nuke Boosting the new dogging?
Posted on 9 Mar 2010 at 14:27
It's hard not to blame the developers, Infinity Ward, for this situation. The tactical nuke is a poor piece of game design, in that it simply ends the game, rather than causing anything interesting to happen within its confines. The addition of a medal for the achievement seriously up the stakes, plus the rarely used tactical insertion makes this cheat realistically achievable. It would be simple enough for the company to stop 95 per cent of nuke boosting by putting in a rule that you can't achieve a nuke by killing a single player say 15 times in a row, but then they're probably enjoying the publicity that the activity has now aroused.
