Top 10 PC games ever

Fallout 3 (2008)
Without putting too fine a point on it, Fallout 3 is simply one of the finest role-playing games ever. It's set 200 years after a nuclear apocalypse and sees you play as a character escaping from the Vault, trying to track down your missing father.
It's stunning to look at, with a breath-taking array of landscapes, from the ruins of Washington D.C. to the Mad Max-style Megaton city. It's absolutely astounding to see such a massive game world.
The beauty of the game is its free-flow nature. While there are missions you need to complete, there's a massive array of side missions dished out by the NPC characters you meet. Rather than these being two dimensional beings, they're all programmed with a daily routine, giving the cities you visit a real feeling of life.
In addition to the normal range of attributes that you can improve on, the game also tracks your karma. This basically tracks how good or evil you are and has both a profound impact on how NPC's view you and how the game eventually plans out.
With hours and hours and hours of game play, stunning graphics and the huge range of missions, Fallout 3 is a must-play for any RPG fan.
Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge (1991)
Point-and-click adventure games were a staple of the PC market when people wanted to play games that used their brains. There's none better than Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge.
The Secret of Monkey Island was brilliant, but LeChuck's Revenge was even better, as the developers decided to make it bigger, more complex and the plot more involving. Its genius is that the story is actually told out of order, starting with Guybrush Threepwood hanging in a hole recounting how he got there.
The game then jumps back in time, as you play Guybrush trying to stop LeChuck and recover the treasure of Big Whoop. What's particularly brilliant about the game is the huge game world, which sees you having to solve problems on Phatt Island, Booty Island, Dinky Island and Scabb Island.
With genuinely funny moments, incredibly puzzles and the ability to solve plot strands out of sync, the game's a free-flowing intelligent ride, showing off the point-and-click adventure at its best. With a special edition under way, a new generation of gamers will soon be able to play it for themselves.
