Prey review

Verdict:

Good looks and a ridiculous storyline do little to abate the tedium.

Our Rating 3 stars out of 5

Prey puts you into the oily moccasins of a mechanic called Tommy. While downing some beers in his local aliens have off with his girlfriend and he decides to get some payback.

Initially, you'll be wowed by the ability to defy gravity on the alien motherships by walking up walls and along the ceiling. However, beneath the shiny graphics Prey is a vacuous beast. The puzzles soon become irritating and the firefights against mutated imbeciles wear thin very quickly.

If your idea of quality entertainment involves Jean Claude van Damme or Steven Seagal, then Prey will probably be right up your street, but we'd rather save our £30.
