Driver Headset review

Verdict:

Review Date: 20 Dec 2006

Price when reviewed: inc. VAT

Our Rating 2 stars out of 5

Parrot's Driver Headset is a Bluetooth phone headset designed for use in a car.

It clicks neatly into its charging cradle, which plugs directly into a cigarette lighter socket. Once you've paired the headset with your Bluetooth phone, incoming calls ring out from the cradle's speaker and make the headset's LED flash. Undocking and docking the headset automatically answers or hangs up a call.

The Driver Headset sounds clear, but it's held in place only by a large earpiece that feels uncomfortable. Its charging cradle is well designed, but many cars supply power through their cigarette lighter only with the ignition on. No mains adaptor is supplied, so its price seems steep.
