Belkin plugs 802.11n into ExpressCard portables

With the introduction of 802.11n wireless products gathering pace, Belkin has released a compatible card for laptops equipped with an ExpressCard slot.
Based on the 802.11n draft specification, the N1 Wireless Notebook Card employs Intelligent MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) technology to increase speed, coverage, and reliability of wireless. The card is smaller and lighter than standard CardBus cards with data throughput of up to 2.5 times faster. It also requires less power and is hot-swappable.
Belkin has also introduced new iPod accessories. Tune Studio [pictured] is a four-channel audio mixer that lets you create high-quality digital recordings directly onto an iPod. This mixer allows the input of up to four different instruments or audio sources, and records the audio onto an iPod for instant playback. It also acts as an external USB sound card, allowing the input of audio from a PC source as well as output to a PC from any of the device's connector inputs.
It records in 16-bit, 44kHz quality, has a 3-band EQ, pan and level controls, Phantom-power-enabled XLR inputs provide up to 60dB of microphone gain while a stereo compressor with makeup gain enhances audio dynamics and keeps audio levels within recording limits of the iPod.
TuneStudio will be available in the summer.
In the meantime the company will ship a Bluetooth Dock Adapter that adds wireless playback from an iPod to a stereo connected to the included adapter up to 9m away. The kit will be released in March.
In February the company will begin selling a DVI switch that lets the user share a single keyboard, mouse, speakers and DVI monitor between two computers. The switch flips easily between computers with a simple press of the remote button and supports both single link (1600x1200) and dual link (2560x1600) video modes as well as all USB Mac and PC keyboards, including those with special function keys.
Information about these future releases will appear on the Belkin website at a later date.
