Rogue Amoeba ships Mac audio editing application
Posted on 23 Apr 2007 at 15:13
Rogue Amoeba has shipped Fission 1.5, the latest incarnation of its Mac-based audio editing application. Fission is the first and only editor for Mac OS X to provide lossless editing of MP3, AAC, Apple Lossless and AIFF audio files.
Version 1.5 introduces audio insertion support, allowing for copying and pasting between files, to amalgamate several disparate audio files into a single track, even if they are of different formats. Audio selections can now have their gain adjusted, and inspector fields now auto-complete, to save time.
Aimed squarely at consumers, Fission 1.5 costs $32, and can be bought as a bundle with Audio Hijack for $50. It is a 3.1MB download from rogueamoeba.com.
