Mimo launches iMo 10in USB touchscreen

Monitor manufacturer Mimo has released its latest USB-connected touchscreen - and it's a whopping 10.1in beast dubbed the Mini-Monster.
Similar in design to the company's existing line of 7in external displays, the iMo Mini-Monster - spotted over on TechFresh - is a combination external display and touchscreen input device which requires only a single USB cable for both power and video input - making it suitable for use with both desktops and laptops, although quite likely to be a drain on your battery if you start using it out and about.
The resistive touchscreen panel is operated via an in-built stylus, although fingertip control is just about possible should you choose, and overlays a 1024x600 display - around the same resolution as a modern 10in netbook.
If you're planning on taking it on the road, however, you should probably be aware of its weight: at an impressive 806g, it weighs around the same as an average netbook or ultraportable notebook, although at 247mm x 161mm x 27mm at least it's not particularly bulky.
An integrated stand is included in the device's body for use as a freestanding display, and the iMo Mini-Monster even includes a pair of USB ports - although the company advises that the included power supply needs to be connected in order to use them.
The 10.1in iMo Mini-Monster is available in the US in "limited supply" for $259.99 (around £173), but sadly there's no news yet on a UK launch date or expected pricing.
