Pixelmator adds 80+ filters and tablet support
Posted on 6 Dec 2007 at 09:52
Pixelmator has been updated to improve Leopard compatibility and to add over 80 new filters and support for third-party filters.
The new Mac OS X standards-based plug-in architecture supports both Core Image units and Quartz Composer compositions created with the Quartz Composer application shipped with the Leopard developer tools.
Version 1.1 also provides a new Quick Look plug-in that makes possible to view almost any of more than 100 image file formats supported by Pixelmator, many of which are not supported by Leopard alone.
Tablet support has also been added.
"Since Pixelmator launched just over two months ago, we've been incredibly focused on harnessing the full power of Mac OS X," said Saulius Dailide of the Pixelmator Team. "And now with Core Image units, Quartz Composer compositions support, and the Quick Look plug-in, Pixelmator proves once again that it is one of the most innovative real-Mac OS X applications."
Pixelmator 1.1 is a free update for registered users.
