Apple adds Remote support to Apple TV
Posted on 11 Jul 2008 at 08:43
Apple has updated the Apple TV software, adding support for MobileMe and the new remote control application for iPhone and iPod touch.
Remote is available free to all Apple mobile device users from the newly opened App Store, though it will require the v2.0 software for the devices before it will work.
MobileMe appears as an option under the Photos menu.
The Apple TV 2.1 update also provides half a dozen security fixes, for vulnerabilities that could cause unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution. For details see About the security content of Apple TV.
Apple Tv automatically checks weekly for updates, but the update can be applied manually under Settings»Update Software.
