If your memory modules don't have coolers on them, Scythe has the answer. The Kama Wing kit is compatible with standard DDR, DDR2 or DDR3 modules.
Installing the two pairs of plates is a fast, easy job. First, stick thin thermal strips to each side of your memory. If there are chips on only one side, use the thicker strip to take up the extra space. Then, simply place the plates on either side and use the clips to hold them together.
Despite the angled fins on top, you can use the coolers in adjacent memory slots. Just make sure you install them so the fins face away from the processor socket - otherwise, there may not be enough clearance.
Unfortunately, when running Hot CPU Tester (which also tests memory) the temperature drop we recorded was just 3°C, from 34°C to 31°C. This makes Scythe's kit look overpriced. A more cost-effective way to keep your memory cool would be to install an inexpensive fan blowing directly at it.
