Apple rewards execs with $120 million options grants
Posted on 1 Oct 2008 at 12:59
In line with its policy of linking executive rewards to the performance of the company’s share price, Apple has granted stock options to nine current executives.
The grants range from 200,000 options for chief operating officer Tim Cook to 60,000 for recently appointed general counsel Daniel Cooperman.
Senior vice president Retail Ron Johnson and Chief Financial Officer Peter Oppenheimer received 150,00 each, while Jonathan Ive and Phillip Schiller were among those awarded 120,000.
All will have to wait until 24 March 2012 before they can cash the options and will forfeit them if they leave Apple in the interim.
