Our Rating
Creative's X-Fi Go! is an external USB sound card designed for laptops and desktop PCs that don't have enough room for a PCI sound card. It's easy to set up thanks to 1GB of built-in memory containing all the necessary drivers and software.
It provided a subtle but noticeable improvement over our laptop's integrated chipset when listening to music, producing a more detailed mid-range as well as a punchier bass. Some tracks can end up sounding a little harsh and over-processed, so you'll get the best results by tweaking the X-Fi Go!'s settings using the included software.
If you enjoy music and games, the X-Fi is a useful upgrade to an integrated audio chipset.
