Save money on printer inks
Posted on 8 Apr 2009 at 15:19
Colour lasers are nowhere near as popular as colour inkjets, so there's far less evidence available on the relative performance of refilled and branded cartridges. Monochrome lasers tend to be used for letters and line drawings, so users often don't strive for the same levels of quality they'd demand from a photographic printer. Presumably for this reason, the companies we spoke to targeted their responses at inkjet cartridges. There's little evidence that extensive comparative reviews have been conducted in this area, but it seems likely that far less can go wrong when refilling a laser toner cartridge than with an inkjet cartridge.
In conclusion, you can save a lot by choosing an alternative to branded ink cartridges. Undoubtedly, some companies provide poor refilling services and products, so you need to choose carefully. If you do, you'll get results that are very close to those available from new and branded cartridges, for less money.
