Acute Press Ctrl and the apostrophe key together, then the desired vowel = ?©
Grave Press the Ctrl and the left apostrophe key (on a UK keyboard, this is to the left of the 1 key) together, then the desired vowel = ?
Circumflex Press Ctrl, Shift and the caret key (6) together, then the desired vowel = ?
Umlaut Press Ctrl, Shift and the colon key together, then the desired vowel = ?
Tilde Press Ctrl, Shift and the tilde key (next to Enter) together, then the letter = ?
Whichever method you use, make sure you use special characters consistently and correctly, or you run the risk of losing marks.
