Bletchley Park gets Lottery funding
Posted on 30 Sep 2009 at 22:02
Bletchley Park, the centre that helped crack the Nazis' Engima code during the Second World War, has secured nearly £500,000 of National Lottery funding.
Despite its crucial contribution to winning the war, Bletchley Park has had trouble securing the necessary funding to restore and maintain its historic premises as a museum.
Despite the much-needed cash injection, The Bletchley Park Trust says that it still needs another £9.5 million to finish the refurbishment of the historic site. It is currently applying for another £4.1 million in National Lottery funding.
Details on how to make your own donation, or information on visiting the site itself, can be found at www.bletchleypark.org.uk.
