Freesat iPlayer trial announced

BBC's iPlayer TV service will be trialled with a limited number of Freesat users later this month; with a full launch not until 2010.
All Fressat set top boxes have Ethernet ports, and are capable of receiving the service via a broadband connection. iPLayer will add a wealth of catch up TV content from the BBC for Freesat users.
iPlayer has been available for Virgin Media's cable TV service since June 2008, and a spokesperson for the BBC said that almost a quarter of iPlayer use was through that platform. It's also available for Sony's PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's Wii games consoles.
There were no details released of how the triallists will be selected. We find the delay of the service till next year to be dissapointing, given its appearance on so many other platforms already.
