Apple has released a security update that addresses more than 30 vulnerabilities in both the Leopard and Snow Leopard versions of OS X.
For Leopard users, the update fixes flaws across the system, including potential vulnerabilities in the Dictionary application, disk images (.dmg files), Help Viewer, various web services, Quick Look, Spotlight and Screen Sharing.
The Screen Sharing and Help Viewer flaws are also fixed for Snow Leopard, as well as potential vulnerabilities in QuickTime, login password protection, downloaded file warnings, and the firewall.
Security Update 2009-006 is available via Software Update or from support.apple.com/kb/DL963. It is also incorporated into the OS X 10.6.2 Snow Leopard update.
Apple has also released Wireless Keyboard Update 2.0 for Leopard to enable the use the function key one-touch controls on the newest aluminium wireless keyboards.
