Check your MP's expenses online
Posted on 11 Dec 2009 at 11:04
Parliament has published a new batch of documents online so the public can see what their MPs have been claiming for on expenses.
The latest PDF files published by Parliament online detail the expenses claimed by every Member of Parliament when they stay away overnight from their main home as well as costs incurred when running their offices and communicating with their constituents. The information goes back to 2004, but certain parts have been redacted such as the details of where an MP has traveled to or where they were staying overnight.
The information is listed alphabetically by the MP's last name. If you don't know the name of your MP, the webpage has a search tool allowing you to find out by typing in your post code.
