The James Bond-style scooter with a flamethrower
Posted on 24 Mar 2010 at 13:22
In a move that would have James Bond's Q impressed, scooter rider Colin Furze has kitted out his bike with a flame thrower.
Fed up with other motorists, Furze designed the attachment so that he can fire a jet of super-hot flames 15ft behind him. It's an impressive sight to watch and one that should put off car drivers from tailgating.
Unfortunately, for anyone interested in following suit, Furze has been told that he could well be in "a bit of trouble" if he uses the flamethrower on a public highway. In fact, the police would consider the weapon as a firearm (no pun).
Furze will limit himself to using the device off road, although he has to be careful even then, as it can get a rather hot if the wind's blowing in the wrong direction.
Watch the video of it in action above.
