Sony plans to debut two new TFT monitors in mid-October, including a 23in model.
The P series monitors, the P82 and P232W, are driven by a 200Mhz graphics chip. Sony claims fast and responsive screens with high contrast (400:1) and strong luminescence (300cd/m²).
The monitors and auto detect and adjust for analogue and digital input signals, and the displays themselves are VESA mountable and can be tilted through angles of 30°.
The 18in P82 offers a native resolution of 1,280 x 1,024 pixels and the 23in P232W has a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels.
The also feature an ECO mode that Sony says reduces power consumption by up to 20 per cent.
Recommended prices for the displays are £849 for the P82 and £2,399 for the P232W, excluding VAT.
