Sorensen has released two new Squeeze applications for encoding video either in MPEG-4 or using Macromedia Flash MX.
Sorenson Squeeze 3 for MPEG-4 is the Variable Bit Rate (VBR) compression application with a drag-and-drop interface that makes MPEG-4 video compression as simple as selecting a preset data rate setting.
Fully compliant with the ISMA MPEG-4 specification, Sorenson Squeeze 3 includes tools for MPEG-4 Simple Profile and Advanced Simple Profile. MPEG-4 content can be viewed using QuickTime 6.
Sorenson Squeeze 3 for
Macromedia Flash MX also uses the generic Squeeze drag-and-drop interface and includes buttons that correspond to various delivery scenarios. By selecting the preset for the intended audience and clicking the 'Squeeze It' button, the software automatically selects the compression parameters to create the highest-quality video possible and outputs it into Macromedia Flash SWF or the new FLV format.
Both applications are available for Mac OS X and Windows 98SE and later.
