BT tidies up broadband pricing

BT has changed the start-up costs of its BT Broadband and BT Openworld broadband services, bringing them into line with each other, if only for a while.

BT Broadband, the wires-only, self-install product, now has free connection until 30 September, a saving of £30. BT Openworld has permanent free activation.

The price of the BT Openworld modem has been cut to £50, a £30 reduction, with a further £10 off if ordered online. BT Broadband's modem is £50.

Monthly fees fopr both services are unchanged - £29.99 (inc. VAT) for BT Openworld (the first month is currently free) and £27 for BT Broadband.
