Samsung has unveiled two new 'minimalist' LCD displays, the 15in SM152X and 17in SM172X.
Both have a slimline, brushed aluminium casing with a small footprint and a dual-hinge that allows them to either stand on a desk or be mounted on a wall.
The 15in has a resolution of 768x1024, a brightness of 250cd/m², a contrast ratio of 350:1, and a viewing angle of 120°. It plugs into any computer via an analogue 15-pin D-Sub VGA connection and has a 16ms response time. The SM152X will cost around £299 (inc. VAT).
The higher-specced 17in has a resolution of 1280x768, a brightness of 300cd/m², a contrast ratio of 500:1 and a viewing angle of 160°. It has both an analogue connection (as above) and a digital DVI connection with the same 16ms response time. The SM172X will cost around £419 (inc. VAT).
