UPDATED: Apple launches iTunes for Windows
Posted on 17 Oct 2003 at 09:05
Apple has launched its iTunes digital jukebox software for Windows.
Renowned for its ease-of-use, the software enables you to organise your digital music from one simple interface. The software provides several standards-based encoding options, including MP3, AAC and AIFF, and can burn music CDs from your custom playlists with just one click. You can also back-up your entire collection to DVDs.
Using Apple's unique Rendezvous technology, iTunes also allows you to listen to music on any other machine - Mac or PC - on the network.
iTunes also provides greater integration with Apple's iPods than the MusicMatch software that was previously used, and is the only way to copy over voice recordings made using the iPod.
iTunes for Windows 2000 or XP is available from www.apple.com/uk/itunes/download.
