Crucial crushes Flash storage
Posted on 17 Jun 2004 at 14:26
Crucial has updated its Gizmo! USB Flash drive range.
Using the Hi-Speed version of the USB 2.0 interface (480Mbit/sec), the new Hi-Speed Gizmo! drives have been shrunk down to 66.5 mm by 16.5 mm. Small enough, Crucial points out, to allow multiple drives to simultaneously plug into neighbouring USB ports.
Available in densities of 64MB, 128MB, 256MB, 512MB, and 1GB, pricing ranges from £15.99 to £125.99 (excluding VAT).
The drives come with security software for data encryption and password protection.
