Doom 3 demo declared

If you're still not entirely convinced by the forthcoming Doom 3, then a PC demo could just be in order.
Following in the wake of the Doom 3 'gone gold' announcement, id Software's CEO Todd Hollenshead has informed the world that a demo for the game is in the works, although it won't release before the American launch of the title on August 3.
He said: 'Our priority was finishing the game first and now we are turning our attention to the demo. We will release the demo as soon as it's done, but this probably won't happen until after the game has arrived on US store shelves.'
No information regarding the demo's content was revealed, although he did add: 'I don't think we have ever disappointed [with content] in the past.' Hollenshead also disclosed that an official F.A.Q. was in the process of being compiled.
Activision has confirmed that the UK PC release of Doom 3 is set for 13 August.
