Apple releases new OS X security update

Apple has released the latest security update for both the Jaguar and Panther versions of Mac OS X.

The update encompasses the following components - CoreFoundation, IPSec, Kerberos, libpcap, lukemftpd, NetworkConfig, OpenLDAP, OpenSSH, PPPDialer, rsync, Safari and tcpdump; full details of the vulnerabilities fixed are listed on the Apple Security Updates page.

Security Update 2004-09-07 is available via Software Update or to download from /www.apple.com/support. It is applicable to the client and server versions of 10.2.8, 10.3.4 and 10.3.5.
