Apple drops five-star self-ratings
Posted on 11 Nov 2004 at 10:06
Apple has dropped the automatic five-star ratings of its own products on the US Apple Store. Macs, iPods and the like are now displayed without a rating.
The FAQ has been altered and no longer includes the sentence, 'We give all Apple products a rating of "5 Apples" because we think they're great.'
Store visitors can continue to rate non-Apple kit.
Ratings were introduced last week when Apple gave its online store a makeover and introduced new dedicated iPod sections.
