Trust Wireless Televiewer V2 review

Verdict:

Review Date: 15 Nov 2004

Price when reviewed: inc VAT

Reviewed By: Nick Mounfield

Our Rating 3 stars out of 5

If you want to view your PC desktop on a TV in a different room - to watch videos, perhaps - Trust's Televiewer V2 could be just what you're looking for.

It has a wireless transmitter that accepts a D-sub analogue input, and a receiver that outputs to SCART, composite or S-video. The Televiewer can transmit a picture up to 1,600x1,200, although you'll have trouble viewing anything above 800x600 on a TV.

It has a quoted transmission distance of 100m, although we measured only 15m indoors and 80m with line of sight. The quality was very good, with no obvious degradation of the signal.

Considering it's wireless the price is quite reasonable. However, PCs that have S-video outputs could use a wireless TV transmitter instead for around half the price.
