It's not often we see an eye-catching sound card, but the Hercules Muse Pocket is just that.

Connecting via USB, it crams the electronics of a 5.1 surround-sound card into the shape of a large chrome volume wheel. Four outputs for surround-sound speakers, a headphone socket and microphone input are mounted around its base, with the large wheel on top controlling the master volume. We're not so sure about the "pocket" part of its name as it's actually quite chunky, but that aside it's a decent surround-sound card with an interesting design for a fair price. It will be especially handy for laptop users who want a reasonably priced upgrade to 5.1 sound.
