Altec Lansing Inmotion 3 review

Verdict:

Review Date: 15 Apr 2005

Price when reviewed: (£119 ex VAT)

Our Rating 3 stars out of 5

The Altec Lansing Inmotion 3 speakers have an integrated dock and a bundled remote control for trimming the volume and controlling playback, much like the Bose SoundDock.

Unlike the Bose, though, these are intended to be portable. They're made predominantly of white plastic, and are fronted by stylish grilles that give the unit a very cool look.

The speakers are rated at 2W so they're not going to blow your mind, but they're perfectly adequate for a small room. The output does lack bass, like most mini speakers, and although the sound quality is generally good it's out-performed by other mini speakers that cost less.

Overall, the Altec Lansing Inmotion 3 speakers do look good and, when folded, are eminently portable, but they're let down by poor audio quality.
